Originally released in 2013, Take Two is a re-mastered version of The Ever After’s second independent release entitled Take One.
Written and Produced by Andreas Blachere, this 4 song EP was created between 2009 and 2013 in a period of transition as Blachere left his studio in New York and moved to San Francisco.
The original EP was independently released through online distributors but was later removed and has been unavailable (possibly) until this new release in 2021 – hence it’s new title Take Two.
Partly recorded in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and mostly finished in his home studio in the Excelsior in San Francisco, the short album contains an alternate take of “It’s All Right” from the 2009 The Ever After album Oh Dear! as well as two demo songs that ultimately ended up on 2019’s Eh Voila, “Unity” and “This River”. Fans of these songs will appreciate hearing them in their original form before they were recorded with a live band.
The final track “The Doll” was originally written for a short independent horror film called The Star about an over-active stage parent and their progeny.
Take Two has been entirely re-mastered and re-packaged with updated artwork and is being released in April 2021, initially from The Ever After website with plans to release it on most online stores and streaming platforms later in the spring.
